L'Math: End User License Agreement (EULA)
This is the End User License Agreement (EULA) of the L'Math software. By downloading anything from this page, you agree to the terms and conditions presented below.
Your rights
You have the right to use L'Math as a private user(1) on your own device(2)
You have the right to use L'Math for producing custom content
You have the right to share your content with others
Restrictions
You are not allowed to install this version of L'Math on school or company devices or use it for any other purpose than personal studying or hobbies
You may not use this version of L'Math for commercial purposes
You may not share(3) any software files of L'Math without a written permit*
You may not decompile or edit the source code of L'Math*
You do not gain an ownership to L'Math or any files related to it
*) Does not apply to open source software that is used in L'Math and included with L'Math
Ownership
The User does not gain an ownership to the Software. The ownership and any copyrights and immaterial rights belong to the developer of the software.
Liability
L'Math is under development. You use the software at your own risk. Its developer or distributors are not liable for any problems or consequences concerning the usage of the software, including any special, resultful, random or indirect harm, including loss of profit, harm caused, or copyright claims and/or possible indemnitification or any other payment or legal questions.
The developer is not liable to keep L'Math up-to-date or consistent with any official YTL/MEB software or any other software.
Computer programs are never perfect. Humans make mistakes, so, if you spot any, please be in touch with the developer.
Privacy
L'Math collects statistical data on every startup. You can opt-out of this by changing the settings. The data includes:
- timestamp and time since last start
- current and last version of L'Math
- name and version of operating system
- processor type and manufacturer name, number of cores
- amount of free and used random access memory
Open Source libraries
L'Math would not exist without open source libraries and tools. Any separate licenses or such open source projects can be reviewed via the Help menu, on "Open Source licenses", or in the bundled application files. Any modifications made to such open source projects have been marked appropriately if required by the open source license.
Agreement effectivity and modifications
This agreement will be effective from the moment the User agrees to it and downloads L'Math. The license agreement, in its current condition, will be included with the L'Math files, but it may be, regarding to time, outdated. An updated license agreement can be found on this page.
These terms and conditions can be modified at any time without an announcement to the end User. It is the User's responsibility to stay up to date about this agreement.
(1) By 'personal use' we mean private use, such as studying, writing notes, or similar personal hobby or studying use. However, for example, using the software as a teacher on courses, as a book author, as a part of a commercial training course, as a part of a software bundle, or otherwise commercially is NOT personal use.
(2) By 'your own device', we mean a device, which is not under any global administration system (e.g. a leased device from your school), on which the user is able to install the software via the normal installer. For example, a device provided by your school or employer is not 'your own device', neither is a virtualized or remote accessed environment.
(3) By 'sharing', we mean any actions taken to share, sell, rent, publish, bundle into a software package, etc. that is not meant for personal and private file sharing as part of a normal installation or backup process.
