Issues on MacOS
Certain issues on macOS are known, and here are some remarks and solutions.
L'Math could not be opened because its developer cannot be verified (macOS)
This is due to the fact that L'Math's developer has not paid Apple for a development account, and therefore the application package is not "validated by Apple." You can, however, open L'Math to you without concern by following the installation instructions.
✅ Solution: Follow the macOS installation guide and allow apps developed by unknown developers
"L'Math" is damaged and can't be opened
The error message "LMath" is damaged and can't be opened. You should move it to the Bin. may appear with newer Macos versions if you try using L'Math's experimental Apple Silicon version. As mentioned earlier, the L'Math MacOS version is still not notarized or signed with Apple's paid development system, so the package is not "confirmed by Apple."
✅ Solution: Download the L'Math Intel version instead and run it using Rosetta (or try finding out a workaround for Apple's requirements)
Lagging and slowing down (macOS Tahoe)
This is related to the occurrence of certain versions of the Electron platform problem. The problem has been corrected in the newer Electron version, and at the time of writing this article (4.11.2025) the updated Electron version can be found in L'Math's latest beta version.
✅ Solution: Download and try L'Math Beta or run the terminal command launchctl setenv CHROME_HEADLESS 1 and restart L'Math
